SINGAPOREANS travelling to Bangkok this weekend for the Singapore-Thailand football match are advised to stay together in groups as far as possible and to keep alert and calm at all times, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) said yesterday. There have been concerns over the safety of Singapore's football team and fans at this Sunday's final, following Wednesday's controversial first-leg match held in Singapore. MFA also advised Singaporeans to register with the ministry through its www.mfa.gov.sg website. This will enable MFA and the Singapore Embassy to contact them and render the necessary assistance in the event of an emergency.
