a friend of mine gave me one of those Crystal Deodorant Sticks. That is one piece of solid crystal in the shape and size of a roll-on deodorant.
You use it by just making it wet and then use it like a ordinary deodorant stick. After use wash it and make it dry, ready for the next time.
I was very skeptical initially but then gave it a try and to my surprise it really works.
This is a solid crystal that does not give off any chemical/perfume but works by neutralizing your sweat (probably by changing the pH).
Good for people who don't want to smell like a perfume store but but also not like...you know what. Also for people with sensitive skin since it does not irritate your skin and people who do not want to expose their body to unnecessary skin cancer risk.
highly recommended !

That's for me! I stink and I stink and I stink. I am not making this up. Not only from my armpits (I do put deodorant), but from my chest, and the whole body. Sometimes I put deodorant on my chest, because I so fed up with it. When I dry my sweat with a handkerchief (sp?) and don't wash it within a day, that stinks terribly!
Anyway, yes, where can I find this? What is it actually called? Can you post a pic (since you have such great camera)?

Anyway, yes, where can I find this? What is it actually called? Can you post a pic (since you have such great camera)? OK, here is the pic. It's only 6 cm high with a blue rubber base and a stick-on cover. Now, I got this from a friend who got it in Malaysia but I am sure you can get this here in Singapore also since this is well known even in the USA. (do a goggle for crystal deodorant) Try Watson's or Guardian Drug Store or maybe Body Shop. I will post it here on this board if I come across it here in Singapore. With regards to your Body Odor: No matter how much deodorant you will apply from the outside you will not be able to solve your problem. You have to do something from the inside. 1. I would recommend you change your diet to more vegetables and less (or none) meat. That will help. 2. get some Liver tonic to strengthen your liver since our liver is the washing machine of our body. I can recommend a herbal medicine called "Himalaya Liv.52" which is in tablet form and is available at the office of Ananda Marga Yoga Society at Marine Parade Center 7th floor. It's about S$ 10.- for a bottle of 100 tablets. I use it daily and so do some friends I recommend it to, with great results not only against bad odor but general well being.

They are great. I have one on a string. The other thing they are great for is insect bites, they take the itch away! Awesome! I always get mine from village market in Kuranda when I am home.

I had one of those crystal deodorants. It didn't work for me, in fact, it brought the old pits out in a rash. They're obviously not for everyone. There is another one called stinky no more or something along those lines.
That Himalaya stuff sounds good though resm, I might give it a try.

Liv.52 is recognized in the USA as an alternative medicine (the only one) for the maintenance of the liver. They have done some research with kidney patients (on dialysis) with very good results. You can do a google search about that. After reading this test results I started giving it to a friend of mine here in Singapore who is on dialysis twice a week. After less then 2 month his appetite has improved, his general condition is much better and his blood tests are getting better. Now I don't have to feel like a cheap s&!t anymore whenever I refuse to donate to NKF

Homoephatic/Ayurvedic and Herbal. It has become kind of a Hobby for me and the reason why I am Vegetarian for 20 years . My profession you can guess from my Signature

I recently found the best Deodorant, it solved all my stinky problems. It's Clinique Skin Supplies for men Anti perspirant stick, it rocks! No perfume, so you can use your ordinary after shave or eau de cologne and it got awesome sweat-stopping powers. Also if you wash your shirts in hot water like 60 - 70 degrees celsius, you tend to smell a lot less, from the pits anyway. Wow, this became a very personal and strange post Anyway remember Clinique dry stick, if your into the more classical deodorants made from chemistry rather than crystals. Any deodorant you use should be Anti-perspirant, since that actually stops the sweat, where as a deodorant only covers the smell via perfume.

What it does is that it kills the bacteria (or whatever the little fellows are called) that transform sweat into a stinky product that drives away people (including women ). You still sweat, but your sweat doesn't stink any longer. Just a minor point. Thanks for the lead on the deo. I stink!

I have used the crystal sticks for years and swear by them. The true salt only ones are not as easy to come by now, but a few years ago they were on sale everywhere (probably experienced the Bubble Tea syndrome). Make sure you don't get the one with aluminium in it, it dries you up a treat, but is soooo bad for you. I now get mine on-line from a company in the States

Why is Aluminium soooooooooo bad for you?
Do you drink softdrinks from a can?
Cook with aluminium trays, use foil?
There is nothing bad for you about aluminium.

Not sure, if it is the same thing - but my maid (cannot check w her now as she is out) showed me something similar few months ago. Milky crystal, although without a plastic base. She said she gets it in Lucky Plaza, maybe check out few of the Filipino markets there? let us know if you found it there. Or as I always say: Everything can be found at Muatafa's...
