About a year ago, we had some bookshelves constructed for us, some with glass fronts and some open. I cleaned them up, polished them (liquid polish, probably with beeswax) & started stacking them. This week, I noticed that the cupboards with doors are growing fungus, on the shelves, on the door frames and even on the outsides of the cupboards. The other (open) shelves are fixed to the wall and stuffed to overflowing, so I can't tell if there's anything on them, but haven't seen anything, yet.
What can I do about this? The room is just off a covered balcony & doesn't get direct sunlight. I've started using the air-conditioner whenever I'm in the room, now, and I'll haul everything out & clean it up - but how to prevent the problem recurring? Could it be the polish? Obviously, I'll have to set up some kind of dehumidifier, but since it's one of our less used rooms, I sometimes lock it up (it's being used as a kind of chuck-everything-in store, and I don't need my little boy getting in & messing around)
Any helpful suggestions appreciated, thanks.

Ahhh, the mold...
The de-humidifier seems to be the best thing to me?
