Argentina is pretty convincing, isn't it?
6-0! Quite impressive. Although 2 seemed to be own-goals by the Serbs.
I think we will see more nice games by Argentina. I wouldn't mind having a South-American final with Argentina v. Brazil!

I don't think first round matches are real tests of who'll be in the final stages of the tournament.
Holland looked quite rattled in their 2-1 win. And Argentina played against a technically inept team who didn't have enough spark to chase down loose balls or knew how to close down spaces. Given these, the scores don't reflect the teams' strengths.
The matches from Rd 2 onwards will be more indicative methinks.
But if the Dutch play against the Argies, I think the South Americans will have a slight edge. I noticed that this Argentinian team played a much more Euro style game, relying less on individual flair and working the ball more as a team.
The next round will be pretty exciting, some high quality games/goals coming up for sure!

i think recent argentine teams have always had that european edge in them unlike most other latin american teams, but even more so now.

Argentina's form peaked too early. We shall see if it peters out in the later stages. This is common in any tournament if you analyzed the past few Euro championships and world cups. Teams that start superbly well are often unable to replicate their performances in later stages.
I think Brazil has a lot more up their sleeves. They are just saving it for later on. Brazil know how not to expend all their energies and enthusiasm in the group matches, as they know that exploding and playing their hearts out in the first few games will be detrimental to the keeping of their momentum.
Slow and steady does it. Like Greece!

This theory seems to be working with the Italians, who were unimpressive in earlier rounds but are fighting like they should now. And Argentina is out- you may be right. I would watch Portugal, who also began a strong team and looks like they're petering out (struggle they did against England).
