As we are allowed to post the names of companies without them being deleted on this board (hooray). How about recommending food home delivery places that we like. I'll recommend Sarpinos pizzas - they do buy one get one half price and work out not much more than Canadian (with their buy one get one free deal), but their pizzas are much nicer. Hey we can even post urls......my cup runneth over! www.sarpinos.com.sg/index.html

Why don't you make your own pizza? You buy the base and you put on the stuff you like. That's what I do, and it's 1000 times better than these pizza delivery places, and it also costs one fraction of their ridiculous prices.

I do quite often make my own pizzas - I use that pizza base mix you can get from cold storage. But sometimes it is nice to not have any washing up to do which is why we order out.

Oohh Sarpinos looked really nice! I would love to try something different from the Hut when it comes to Pizzas. However, according to their homepage they do not deliver to River Valley area, sad!
Since I am extremely lazy, I would like to have some other types of kitchen, that do home delivery. Right now all I can think of is the obvious ones like Mickey D, the Hut/KFC and Canadian Pizza.
Is there a Sushi delivery? or maybe some Lebanese home delivery place.
Please expand my lazy brain!

Romanians are half Italians, aren't they? Actually every time I hear about Romania, it's some sort of bad news (child prostitution in Italy, drug dealing, gun dealing, etc.). Sad Please buy his pizzas to support an honest business.

Romanians are called thus because they used to be a Roman colony. The ethnicity of people there however are southern Slavs, with lots of Bulgar, Greek, and Turk (Tartar Mongolians) thrown into the mix, although they may not want to acknowledge their ethnic heritage.
Many of them have olive skin and dark eyes and hair, although you do get a sandy blond one every now and then. Google for pics of Romanians.
Real Italians would be scandalized if you insisted that they share in some way in the Romanian bloodline.

Also, "Romany" is synonymous with "Gypsies", who are of non-European descent and come from India long long time ago.
Romania has many Gypsies so I guess the dark skin, hair, and eyes as well as the country's name could have come from that.

This is an interesting thread for me. Do you reckon that home kitchens have become smaller in recent years to accommodate the fact that people are cooking less these days and eating out much more often?
We eat out/order-in about 3-4 times each week on average. What does everybody else average?
I have Singaporean friends who seem to eat out everyday and hardly cook at all (or eat at their parents/in-laws).
Looks like the only ones who cook these days are the celebrity chefs on TV!!

We only order out once every 2 or 3 weeks. We eat out as a family about once a week though. We eat out more here than we ever did at home because it is cheaper here.

I actually find cooking a bloody chore, same category as gardening and weeding. Unless you actually enjoy doing these things, which I don't, I reckon it's a time-thief. It's a personal thing, as I'm sure there are many others who love it... good on them.

I don't mind cooking - but I find washing up a chore......next place I move to is going to have a dishwasher. I'll be like a kid with a new toy because I've never had a dishwasher before (yes, very old fashioned I know......my folks didn't own an electric kettle until about 5 years ago, and then they got through about 3 in 3 weeks because they kept putting it on the stove!)

LOL! That was a gem. Mind you, my mum still doesn't believe in electric kettles. Has to wake up at 6am, put the kettle on the stove as a first task. Must be the routine.
