This FX-plate MS is perfect for the real roads that we ride around here--whether the bumpy back streets in peninsular Malaysia or the kiasu-cager-filled lanes of the Lion City.
The ability to tour, commute and scratch with one bike--and a relatively simple, air-cooled, two-valve version at that--makes the Multi a great choice for those not planning to maintain a stable of more specialized motos.
On offer: one red Multistrada 1000DS with around 37,000kms. Serviced at all specified intervals (plus extra oil changes) by Eugene and team at Minerva Motors. Maintenance records available for inspection by serious buyer. Originally registered in August 2003. The bike runs great.
The bike is stock except for consumables (obviously) and the sprockets, which I upgraded (14T counter sprocket) along with a new chain in August 2005.
I plan to include a Hepco Becker rear rack and a HB Journey top box. These transform the MS into a practical city commuter, as the box will hold your laptop and lunch for the ride, as well as your helmet and jacket once you reach the office. The one downside is your mates might ask you to go get them a pizza. I am also including the original Nonfango pannier system plus the upgraded Ducati Performance “Comfort” windscreen with lip--good for those with miles to burn.
I’m looking for bids around S$19,899.
For current MS owners, I will consider parting out the DP panniers and “Comfort” screen, depending on interest.
Eugene can confirm my service record history. Also, I’ve ridden with a number of people from the Ducati Singapore (Monster oriented) forum and even the BMW club. So if you already run with those crowds, there’s a chance we may have mutual riding buddies in common who can vouch for how well my bike runs, if not for how well I ride.
Please contact me via email JayTee705 at Yahoo.com or by handphone (9792-5553) to discuss any aspects of the bike or to request pics. I'll bump this thread if I figure out a way to attach pics.
Regards,
JT
P.S. I am also selling my Vespa ET8. With the box and windscreen, it’s a great perfect urban attack bike, able to split lanes and park where normal motorcycles fear to go. Sure, it only goes about as fast as my Ducati does just in first gear, but you will laugh at the running costs. Asking S$2000. I already have a verbal offer, but if the deal doesn’t close as expected, then Kermit the Scooter will be back on the block.
