Thank you mimi for the excellent idea:
I've just given birth and can't decide which formula to feed my baby. Which one should I choose?
No, more seriously, I haven't give birth, but I know (and everybody knows) that mother's milk is the best for the baby. So, my question is, why do people give formula to their babies? Is it because they don't have enough milk themselves? Because they are lazy? Or what?
Please enlighten me.

Some new mothers , for a variety of reasons, including downright exhaustion, cannot produce enough milk to feed their babies. Their babies are hungry.
Some babies, for a variety of reasons, have difficulty sucking from the breast. They are hungry.
I hope this partially answers your question.

My sister in law is bottle feeding her baby because she lacks the confidence to breastfeed. She was worried that the baby wasn't getting enough to eat. Maybe there was some other underlying reason, but that's what she tells people who ask.

Have you ever breastfeed Clone of Mimi? Well, since I haven't given birth (read my first message, please), it would be difficult for me to breastfeed. Since you don't seem to know the relationship between giving birth and milk in the boobies, why don't you ask your mom (or anybody above kindegarden age)? Well, since I haven't given birth (read my first message, please), it would be difficult for me to have a child. Again, if you don't know the relationship between giving birth and having a child, why don't you ask your mom (or anybody above kindergarden age)? Breast milk is best for your baby but sometimes it just dosen't work. So I guess the question now would be: 'What do you mean by sometimes it just dosen't work? OK. Thank you very much for your very useful and intelligent post! You are obviously a very smart person, and I feel privileged to have learned so much from you.
