which credit card in singapore?

I have just gotten the POSB everyday card (master) and am starting to get the feeling that master isn't too useful here? either way would like to get a backup as well and a visa of course. been looking around and would like to get some f/back as to which is the more reliable card to apply for? any information would be great guys. cheers!

I carry AmEx & Visa, but AmEx isn't accepted everywhere because of their charges to shopkeepers, I believe. But the majority of places do take it. I thought MasterCard was accepted pretty much everywhere, in tandem with Visa?

My sister used to have a Diners' Club, but found very little use for it outside the US / Oz - so wouldn't recommend that one too highly.

Also, remember to ask if there are discounts with a particular card, before paying (once you have your card!). Some places, eg restaurants, give them with one card or another, so worth asking. These can change month to month, though, or might be with a particular card issued by a particular bank.
