Thinking about taking part in the Anlene Orchard Mile, anyone else? Not a hardcore runner, but have noticed there are loads of hardcore events coming - like the duathlon that was just on and the upcoming Phuket Marathon, OSIM triathlon... Anyone know of any other not too hard core events like the Orchard Mile run?

The Orchard Mile is a women only event so won't be participating, but sounds like a good spectator sport Here's a long list of more or less competitive events on a really slow web site: www.sgrunners.com/blog/The notable item missing from the list is the Singapore-Johor Second Bridge Run - 10km competitive and 10km fun run. Last year it was in September, this year it's Malaysia's turn to host it. A quick search didn't result in a web site. If non-running events are considered fun, for this weekend, there's the National Runway Cycling at Paya Lebar airbase. Maybe you can still register. www.safra.sg/national_runway_cycling2007.aspx?pageid=1299For the Saucony-100Plus run (got my hopes high for a good discount on Saucony shoes ), the registration is already closed and the race is still more than a month ahead. What are the organizers thinking? Happy running!

I know the Singapore Exchange do a Bull Run, but not sure if you have to work in an Exchange-related company to enter. You could try searching.
It can't be hard core, because my husband runs, and he's not a runner, by any means! ;D
